“Born and raised in Columbia, SC, I’m a proud husband and father to two beautiful daughters, ages 5 and 2—my greatest motivation both personally and professionally. I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2012 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and have been with DESC for 16 years.

 

My career began in 2009 as an Intern in Electric Transmission’s ERO Compliance Department and Transmission System Control, where I gained early exposure to regulatory standards and system operations. From 2012 to 2017, I served as a Reliability Specialist in Transmission System Control, ensuring system stability and operational integrity. I then transitioned to Electric Distribution Planning as an Engineer from 2017 to 2022, contributing to the strategic development of our distribution infrastructure. From 2022 to 2024, I led the Electric Operations and Construction team at the Pineywoods Electric Distribution Crew Quarter as Manager, overseeing field operations and construction initiatives. Since October 2024, I’ve served as Manager of DESC’s Electric Distribution Regional Operation Centers, where I lead dispatching efforts across our service territory.

 

Outside of work, I serve as a Trustee at my local church, where I help provide financial support to community members in need. I also sit on the board of DESC’s Good Neighbor Fund, which directly assists residents in need across our service territory.”
