My Story

Tigerron Asim Wells is a husband, father, creative bridge-builder, problem solver and former educator with a passion for providing guidance and resolving conflict.
​
A South Carolina attorney and former law firm partner, Tiger left private practice in 2013 and joined the Municipal Association of South Carolina as its Government Affairs Liaison and then Director of Governmental Affairs until October of 2019. In October of 2019, Tiger joined Duke Energy as its State Govt Affairs Director. Now, as the company’s VP, Government Affairs for South Carolina, he serves as the company’s strategic head of state government affairs in the state, drawing upon his years of experience as a lawyer and problem-solver to effectively advocate before various state governmental and quasi-governmental bodies.

In addition to his legislative responsibilities, Tiger has also maintained an active role in the Columbia, SC and greater South Carolina community, including but not limited to service on various boards of nonprofit entities like Leadership South Carolina, the Sisters of Charity Foundation of SC, and the Justice Equity Diversity and Inclusion Council of E4 Carolinas.
